”GOLDEN LAVA FROM BATUR” (2007)
Bangli is a tidy and peaceful small region on Bali Island. The region centres around the spectacular
volcanic crater(or caldera) of mount Batur which last erupted in 1994. Mount Batur itself is actually
just a small volcano, but it’s setting is in the heart of a huge crater of large diameter. Close to the
volcano is the large crescent-shapped Batur lake, surrounded on all sides by the high walls of the crater rim.
Here I am dedicating the abstact work by showing with pride the golden lava of Batur. Mount Batur conjures up
images of the massive eruption of the original Mount Batur thousands of years ago. Here is an impressive
view of Mount Batur, the abstract work makes you search for the meaning of the golden lava.
